What Information should I give someone I ask to join my Conference?
Simply tell people what time the meeting will start and give them the dial-in telephone number and the participant pass-code.
What equipment do I need in order to join a meeting? Do I need to download any particular software?
All you need to join a meeting is a touch-tone telephone.
How do I start a meeting?
Using a tone dial telephone, dial the MeetMe telephone number. You will be prompted to enter a pass-code and invited to record your name. If you are the chair, entering the chair pass-code will start the meeting, taking everyone off music and uniting you in a phone conference.
What happens if I forget my pass-codes?
If at any point you forget your pass-codes, please call 86-10-81544147. The service center will generate two more unique pass-codes to replace your existing numbers. Please note that positive identification will be required before a request can be completed.
What will I be charged if one of the participants is dialling internationally?
If the participant is dialling in, they will pay for a normal international phone call and you will pay for the bridging which is the same, regardless of where a participant dialled in from. If you dial out to an international number, you will pay the same bridging charge and pay for an international call at our published tariff.
How can I dial out to new participants?
Using a telephone keypad ¡V press #3. When your hear dial tone use the keypad to dial the required number (remember to use the full STD code). When answered ¡V you can talk in private to the new participant. You can then choose to return to the meeting with the new participant (#4) or return to the meeting alone (#5).
Why can't I return to a call after I call for an operator if the conference is locked?
The lock conference facility is provided to stop unwanted intrusions and to make a conference secure once all the necessary people are on a call. If you call for assistance, you will be taken out of the conference to allow you to speak to the operator - but then be unable to re-enter as the conference is locked. You should unlock the conference before requesting assistance.
